Your tutoring sessions feature a very special partnership: you'll work with me, an experienced reading specialist, alongside Sage, my certified therapy dog. Sage and I work together to create a calming, supportive environment where students feel relaxed and confident.

Research shows that reading education assistance dogs like Sage provide significant benefits for students. Reading to dogs helps motivate children to read by increasing relaxation and confidence, reducing blood pressure and offering a non-judgemental, safe environment in which to practice reading. Many students find that Sage's gentle companionship helps them feel braver about tackling challenging reading tasks, creating the perfect conditions for learning to flourish.
